Helen Turner was a celebrated Southern Woman artist working in oils and pastels in the impressionist style and is known for her intimate domestic interiors and tender depictions of women and children. She trained and in New York and Paris and exhibited widely in the late 19th and early 20th century, including notably with Mary Cassatt. She is represented in numerous important collections throughout the US.
