of great historic objects

We have carried on that tradition.

But the most important relationships have been built right here —

What We Believe

Great design is found everywhere. We look for pieces that tell a story, carry some mystery, and feel authentic. Exceptional design is not the exclusive province of the trade. A remarkable object speaks for itself.

We do not believe in pressure. We believe in curious conversation and welcome return visits. We are never in a hurry unless you are.

The Space

We occupy an old brick warehouse on Biltmore Avenue, a building whose bones are as compelling as anything housed within it. An almost hundred-year-old working freight elevator, high exposed beams of yellow pine and steel, well-worn maple floors that talk, literally. The scale, the light, the architecture, all serve the objects well.

That scale allows us to carry inventory most shops cannot: antique furniture, fine arts, regional arts, decorative arts, garden objects, architectural pieces, objects from around the world, and a constantly evolving selection of shippable works always available online.
